Version 4.x Pull Strategy: Who Should You Pull?

Comprehensive pull value analysis for Version 4.x banners. We break down each character's value for F2P, light spenders, and endgame-focused accounts.

Current Banner Meta (Version 4.x)

Version 4.0 introduced the Elation Path and several powerful new characters. Here's our analysis of who's worth your hard-earned Stellar Jade.

Tier Rankings

S-Tier (Must Pull)

  • Yao Guang (Elation/Physical) — The most versatile support released in 2026. SP-positive, works in almost any team, enables new Elation synergies. Skip your coffee before you skip this banner.
  • Robin (Harmony/Physical) — Still one of the best universal supports. If you don't have her, prioritize.
  • Sunday (Harmony/Imaginary) — Top-tier support for summon and hypercarry teams.

A-Tier (Strong Value)

  • Sparxie (Elation/Fire) — Powerful DPS, but needs specific teammates to shine
  • Castorice (Remembrance/Quantum) — Excellent DPS for Remembrance teams
  • Firefly (Destruction/Fire) — Still dominant in break content
  • Aventurine (Preservation/Imaginary) — Best shielder in the game

B-Tier (Situational)

  • Ashveil (Hunt/Lightning) — Good single-target DPS, but niche
  • Hysilens (Nihility/Physical) — Only for DoT team enthusiasts

C-Tier (Skip for F2P)

  • Yanqing — Powercrept; avoid unless you really like him
  • Seele — Still usable but outclassed by newer options

F2P Pull Strategy

If you have 0-2 limited 5-stars (New Account):

  1. Robin or Sunday first — Supports make every team better
  2. Yao Guang — Extremely flexible, fits any account
  3. One strong DPS — Firefly, Castorice, or whoever you like

If you have 3-5 limited 5-stars (Mid-game):

  1. Yao Guang — Complete your support roster
  2. Sparxie — If you have Elation teammates
  3. E1 for your main DPS — Better than a new character you won't use

If you have 6+ limited 5-stars (Endgame):

  1. Go for niche characters that fill gaps
  2. Consider vertical investment (E1/E2)
  3. Pull whoever makes the game more fun for you

Estimated Jade Requirements

GoalEstimated Jade Needed
One specific 5-star~14,000-18,000
One specific 5-star + LC~28,000-35,000
E1 of a character~28,000-32,000
E2 of a character~42,000-48,000
E6 (whale territory)~100,000+

Note: A patch gives F2P players ~8,000-10,000 jade. Plan accordingly.

Light Cone or Character?

General rule: New character > Light Cone, unless:

  • The character's best F2P LC is terrible (looking at you, Boothill)
  • You already have all the characters you want
  • The signature LC gives 25%+ more damage than the next best option

Final Advice

  1. Don't pull on banners that end 3 days after you start
  2. Wait for the last few days of a banner to see next patch's leaks
  3. Account > Meta — pull who makes you happy
  4. A well-built 4-star team can clear 90% of content
